Leah is a main character in the Traveler's Gate Trilogy. She is the Queen of Damasca and has Simon as a bodyguard. She is the daughter of King Zakareth the Sixth. She is one of the few Travelers in the series with a connection to two Territories.
Appearance[]
She has dark hair and one eye is bright blue. The other eye is a magic crimson gemstone. She has tanned skin and as the queen of Damasca often wears a dress of red and gold.
Personality[]
Leah takes charge of situations easily but can speak humbly. She has little problem lying, having practiced for years but did begin to regret it when Simon found out the truth.
Abilities[]
Ragnarus[]
As a member of the Damascan royal family, Leah can access the Territory Ragnarus, The Crimson Vault. Ragnarus is all about sacrifice, you pay the cost and use the weapon. Leah can open Gates to Ragnarus but you can only leave the Crimson Vault in one location: Cana, the capital of Damasca.
Crown: One of the artifacts from Ragnarus is a crown. It is a circlet of polished, red-tinted silver, with a single ruby. It allows her to give a command that the world obeys but it must be worded carefully. For example "Incarnation of Valinhall, you have slaughtered your way through my country for too long. In punishment for your crimes, I command you to drop your weapons and await execution... Die, you monster." This caused a wave of red light to form chains around Valin and bring him to the point of death. This power causes Leah to temporarily lose her voice.
Lightning Spear: Another artifact that Leah can summon is the Lightning Spear. This one is a powerful spear that launches at dozens of times faster than what a human should be able to throw. She can recall the spear to herself mentally. This spear causes Leah pain and inflicts damage to her as its cost.
Crimson Eye: The Eye of Ages is a Ragnarus artifact. It is a crimson gemstone that replaced one of Leah's eyes. The Eye allows Leah to see the connection between Territories and people and objects which draw from them.
Gatecrawler: One of the Ragnarus Gatecrawlers is a straight sword with a twisting black and red pattern. She can cut through the remnants of where Gates to other Territories were previously opened allowing her into that Territory. This is exhausting and takes time.
Cynara: Cynara is one of Leah's ancestors and an ancient Incarnation of Ragnarus. Leah can summon her into the Unnamed world. The cost made Leah think she was about to pass out.
Titan Shield: The Titan Shield is a powerful shield from Ragnarus.
Whispering Blade: The Whispering Blade is a dagger that is meant to cut through manifestations of Traveler powers that were normally insubstantial.
Lirial[]
Lirial is one of the Territories that Leah has access to. Known as the Crystal Fields it allows for a number of abilities relating to information gathering and crystal based powers. Traveling from Lirial requires complex calculations based on Lirial's twelve moons. Lirial usually follows the same time as the Unnamed World. Lirial powers are not offensive.
Sanctum: Leah has a sanctum in Lirial. The sanctum is the size of single room and is carefully hidden. Leah can store Lirial artifacts in her sanctum and summon them when she is not in Lirial.
Source: Leah's Source, her main source of energy, is a four-pointed crystal star. This is the only Lirial artifact she can summon when in Lirial. With time and concentration, Leah can funnel her body’s energy into the crystal, building it up. The Source then stores and converts the energy, allowing her to summon and empower Lirial devices. This energy can be used as payment for many creatures in Lirial. It is possible to get this energy by going into debt of some "shifty and dangerous" individuals.
Crystal Sealing: Leah can expend energy in her source for like forming crystal spikes that encase targets in crystal.
Crystal Ball: Leah has a crystal ball artifact in her sanctum. The crystal ball performs arcane calculations in rapid time to increase accuracy.
Scrying Lens Leah has a crystal disk artifact from Lirial which can be used to see places out of sight. The crystal can expand.
Recording Crystal: A crystal that records everything from when it is activated.
Communication Crystal: Leah has crystals that transmit messages, however they are rare and expensive, and Leah uses them to give warnings in battle.
Scout Crystals: Leah can summon a few white crystals from her sanctum. She receives a mental notice when the crystals find whatever she is seeking.
Crystal Barrier: Leah can form barriers of crystal.
